Rumor is that Local 853 will be merging with 665. If true, I wonder what will happen to 853 S/T Steve Beck, considering he has been charged by the IIO.

The IBT, if concerned at all about the members, should never approve a merger of a well- assetted local with twice the members of the recieving local, and which, is only being done to insulate the 853 officers from the political retribution they deserve. Once the members wake up, perhaps it will cost both sets of officers their jobs. The IBT is a joke, and karma is a bitch!

People care, that is when they actually know about it. Its happening all over, locals being dissolved, forced mergers. It could all easily backfire considering how few votes are required to win most Locals elections.
