Kim Moody claims that the Biden administration got O'Brien to eliminate the strike deadline in late July. But Moody's case is conjecture presented as fact.

This is a bit of a habit among some Union analyst/advocates: if you don't want to take a swing at a Union leader, punch a Democrat instead.

In the case of the rail contract a year ago, Biden really did blow it, but O'Brien missed multiple opportunities to nudge Biden back on course. O'Brien ducked accountability completely.

In this summer's UPS contract, if you acknowledge that O'Brien settled short (albeit not on the scale of JP Hoffa) but you don't want to hold O'Brien accountable, you're going to have to keep looking for someone else to blame.

O'Brien toned down his rhetoric since he knew very well Biden was never gonna allow a strike.
