I was wondering if anyone knew what the deal is with Ken Paff not being a Teamster?

So that qualified him as a Teamster? One year as a freight guy? He didn't even get his ears wet.

He is married to the Editor of LaborNotes and has been a puppet of the corporate world and the government for years. A year as a freight driver is way too generous. He had a brief time in Local 70. Paff is a hypocrite from any and every interpretation of the world. Now he is the whore of the IIO and Oz. Quiet as a mouse about all the problems with the UPS contract. Can you imagine if he wasn't getting paid to keep his mouth shut what he would be saying about the West members losing at least $750 PER MONTH, $9000 PER YEAR after the 5 year term, and effectively paying for part of the raise by sacrificing their pension and retirement security. Ask all the members who worked in locals and took Paff's advice and watched their locals go to hell. He is a liar, a crook, a government tool, and no one who can ever be trusted.

I started working as a loader at ups in 2015 and became a teamster a short time later because I was curious (Florida is right to work ). I should have known better because curiosity almost killed me.

Anyways, it was at all that long later I was a shop steward with the brilliant idea of conducting one of the signature campaigns being promoted by TDU/Teamster United to build unity in our local. To make a long story short it wasn't all that long before UPS and my local both hit me like a ton of bricks. I had unknowingly blundered into a minefield following TDU coaching. Fortunately, I survived by the skin of my teeth and I fought back at everyone and kicked their ass.

Anyways, I had always heard it whispered that Ken was not a teamster and I am interested in if there is some story behind why he is not. I always wondered how a non-teamster could be the leader of TDU.
