UPS has wanted this for 25 years. It was fought off by the Western area VPs who understood they represented the members in the WEST not the IBTs interests. UPS tried to stop the growth of the WCTPTF as it made every other plan look pathetic. But now, with a total lack of experience, understanding of fiduciary responsibilities, a lack of loyalty to the members covered by the WCTPTF, and frankly a lack of balls to stand up to Oz, the West VPs/trustees sold out the members. All the spins about "no freeze" are disingenuous and fall short of just telling the truth. Just say " we sold out your pension to tell YOU we got YOU the best contact ever, by giving up the biggest concession ever! No pension money for 5 whole years!! We really did change the game!!!

Absolutely true and now the same VP's are planning to use health plan reserves (the members own money) to make it look like they got something when in fact these morons got nothing. Weakening our pension isn't enough now they're weakening our H&W Trusts.
