What is a "Living wage"? So, the company gives a part timer healthcare on top of wages and they are demanding .75 per year of service. That's nuts! 2 part time jobs essentially equals a full time salary. The company pays for 2 benefit packages on part hours. So a part time employee should be now making more than full timers if they were in place for 20 years? This ain't even reasonable.

By the way, nobody fought harder than me for the part time employee. I questioned years ago why the starting wage stayed stagnant at $8.00 for 19 years, then at $8.50

Thank you Dana for fighting for part-timers. You know that the starting rate for part-timers has been low and that has benefited UPS. Keeping wages suppressed and the IBT was complacent in all of it.
"Living Wage" in which a part-timer does not have to work 2-3 jobs. Does not have to apply for food stamps. That can help them pay the rent. UPS gives part-timers healthcare because it was negotiated because we all know that UPS would give us healthcare if it was up to UPS. Even having two-three jobs in certain parts of the country still does not cut in due to the high cost of living, LA, SF, NY, Miami, Chicago and so on.
Teamster Mobilize wants to close the gap between all classifications and their pay. We made this corporation billions and we should all prosper.
I am part of Teamster Mobilize, we have advocated for $25 starting and base pay with $0.75 for every of service and 5% wage increase.
