Going through Local 623 LM2. Local spent over 15k for a member picnic at Splash world and 17k for a member Christmas party. There's also an expenditure of almost 9k for 76ers tickets. While tickets for members are ok, Local hopefully has an itemized report of everyone who won tickets. No one on the staff should've used them. The Local also paid at 27k legal fee which is vague on the.report. And finally, the Local pays someone as a "Director Of Operations" making 80k+ plus a year. What exactly is a Director Of Operations in a Union setting. Most if not all Teamsters Local's employ Business Agent's, Organizers, Office Manager, Titan Operator. Director Of Operations is new to me. All Local expenditures should be itemized and available for members access upon request. Look at your Local bylaws for procedures on requesting information
