I had to read this twice. Is he actually challenging a US Senator to some kind of fight?

Why even go there? Seemed childish when it happened and continues to look that way. Someone has awfully thin skin. How does this move the needle for our members?

Boss baby is mad. Give him a cookie.

I can't believe someone would even put that out at his level.

This is the continuation of a well financed PR campaign to appeal to those members who believe tough guy talk actually gets you something. It will undermine the Union on many levels. Hurt the members, make sure Employers never trust this leadership, and that will always mean less for the members. Where there is no professional relationship, the employer will never put everything on the table because they will never trust the leadership of the Union to produce a settlement. Taking on a Senator in a manner that shows some level of sophisticated approach is good, one gains respect. Doing what the PR machine put out for OBrian, only makes the Union seem ignorant and able to be baited and played. The Senate is a club, club members identify with other club members. They will all remember this clown act the next time the Union needs something. Totally stupid move!

Where was his toughness when he and Ken Hall gave up 36 month progression for 48 months or when he screwed 45% of members for Teamcare?!

O'Malley's calling the other guy out for little man syndrome? Bust out the tape measure, toss the chinstrap.

That piece of shit Senator would certainly beat him up in the octagon.

O'Brien would have a chance if all his bodyguards and goons in Charlestown ganged up on the seantor.

O'Brien is nothing but a thug!

He didn't size his opponent up, turns out the guy despite being an asshole has a respectable background in MMA and wrestling. C'mon Sean you don't have a hair on your ass, you called him out where are you now tough guy? He challenged the cowboy who's all hat and no cattle now? #shortmansyndrome
