    Cameras

When OZ campaigned to take over the IBT their slogan against cameras inside UPS package cars was "no cameras" and that they would be a strike issue.

When they were elected it changed to "no inside facing cameras."

Now that it has been leaked that a TA had been reached on camera, OZ is saying " no disciplinary actions with cameras."

Does this mean cameras are staying in, and will be facing in to record drivers, but drivers cannot no be disciplined?

Are cameras the first known concession of 2023?

What makes UPS so special? Everyone has cameras in their cabs did you really think once the cameras were installed they were going to come out?

A Teamster is a Teamster no matter where they work. UPS is the largest Teamster employer and whatever is agreed to with UPS sets the standard for other drivers in our union. If OZ campaigned that UPS cameras are out, one must wonder how many UPSers or other Teamster drivers voted OZ with this on their mind or other campaign promises. It is not that UPS is extra special, but they do tend to set the standard and I for one like their standard. That is why I support the $25 starting pay, no cameras or anything else that raises our unions standards. If you are supporting anything less or making excuses maybe you should reexamine the definition of being a Teamster. One for all and all for one.

Yes, OZ said they would start a general strike with the rest of the unions over them.

The first concession of 2023 was announced on Wednesday when Sean O'Brien revealed that inward facing cameras were staying in for "training purposes."

The Seanies can spin it anyway they want, but this is a concession.

"training purpose" is very broad. What could be included as "training"?

But it is a lot of code to write this and the user has to be an admin!
