Marching on the Boss for recognition is a good tactic for building unity in a bargaining unit. Good to see it used, it increases the chances for a first contract. A lot of locals still just file with the Board, wasteing an opportunity.

And it can be a positive means for:
        - Getting unit members to be open and committed to the organizing campaign
        - Being able to prove that management was fully aware that the participating unit members are engaged and supporting the organizing drive; helping to prove to the NLRB that any adverse actions (firings, demotions, changing working conditions, etc) are directly tied in to unit members' open support for the Union organizing drive.
