I'm sure they can find competent testng. I think it's more than a good idea that American Truck Drivers know how to speak and read english. Not seeing too many highway signs in Latin. Anyway with Trumps tariffs good jobs driving may be even harder to find.

Was not arguing the common sense part just the enforcement and the inherent prejudice against someone who may have an accent. As did many of our parents and grandparents.

I believe this new Trump Executive Order on English fluency is a BS attempt to make life as difficult as possible for anyone who doesn't meet Trump's definition of "American".
Question for our Union is: Given that Sean O'Brien, by his own words, claims to talk to Trump several times a month, did Trump advise his fellow "tough SOB" (as O'Brien stated in his RNC speech) that he was implementing this change? I have yet to see any mention of the change in IBT social media, including teamsters.org (unless I missed it).
If so, it seems to me that O'Brien has possibly harmed the fellow Teamsters members, that may be impacted by this change; a violation of every Teamsters oath of obligation. And more evidence of O'Brien's allegiance to the ruling class billionaires led by Trump.
