    Brother Allen:

The IBT Constitution's Preamble approved by the IBT Convention delegates, stands in direct contradiction of GP O'Brien's pathetic allegiance with Trump and his allies of MAGA.
I believe the Preamble was revised to include language regarding international worker solidarity at the 1996 IBT Convention in Philadelphia. That was the only Convention chaired by Ron Carey - although I may be wrong on that being the case; Hoffa, Jr. delegates caused so much disruption at that Convention, it's hard to remember. It was also a Convention where the name change to the International Brotherhood and Sisterhood of Teamsters was voted down.

If I were still an active Teamster (I'm now retired), I would file an internal charge alleging that O'Brien has violated his oath of obligation to uphold the Teamsters Constitution. His selective and narrow perspective on worker solidarity has and will continue to erode worker solidarity everywhere. In addition, as you stated in your post, O'Brien has not publicly confronted Trump/MAGA's virulent racism while standing on the stage at the RNC or anywhere else to my knowledge.

    Thank you for your post.

O'Brien loves the Hollywood gangster line, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." Just as useful to workers doing politics is the old saw, "Lay down with dogs, wake up with fleas."

Was the attorney representing O'Brien against Brother Cochran's charges, Michael Feinberg? He represents JC10, Local 25, and the New England Teamsters Pension Fund
