I'll be honest, the people on the Vairma Slate were extremely nice to me when I told them outside of work I couldn't vote for them because of the man's snarky comment about the vote no movement during the debate. They held no animosity towards me. I simply told them how I felt and they respected that. When I told Vinny how I felt, he went on to tell people that I was a lunatic. Guess who I will be confronting with my video camera in the next election cycle? Come on back to Philly Vinny!

I wouldn't think any official endorsement from that organization would be proper or meaningful. Maybe a resolution to send to whoever makes sense in the IBT? Members can certainly get involved in whatever electoral campaign they want to get involved with directly, without any official union action. They would need to be on their own time.
Just like Teamster electioneering would've be proper either. But they can do what they want on their own time without organizational involvement.

Name one Local that has endorsed in the US presidential race. Candidates want campaign $$ and lost timers for canvassing, and that is federal DRIVE. Good luck getting that without GEB endorsement.
