I am a former BCTGM union business rep. It is not that O'Briens speech was not a great pro- worker speech, it is where he did it. He gave legitimacy to the totally false premise that Donald J.. Trump and the Republican party is the party of and for labor. For all the years I have been involved in labor I have seen the Republican party undermine so many of the gains we have made as unions. The people O'Briens spoke too at this convention are Anti-Union. We have so many union members who have been fooled into voting for Republicans thinking that they are voting for people who are supporting them. By speaking at their convention O'Brian only gave his members who have voted for republican's a false flag. Very poor leadership, Shame!!

If you talk to other unions leaders, or their members you'll hear something very similiar to what SwingShift is saying. Between this and the Pittsburg strike and the Machinist raiding, our reputation in the Labor movement is at rock bottom.
