More and more UPS part-timers who were told they would not be laid off are now being laid off for a week. Our local has not made any statements about this or even spoken to the members directly. Our Independent Teamsters Organizing Committee is working to figure out how deep these NEW layoffs are, as no one in union leadership is.

Davison is a failure to the members.

That's a good question, Faust. The Master Layoff List is not, to the best of my knowledge, available to the general membership. Those under a year are facing a very weird time, and their numbers may increase as feeder positions are eliminated.

UPS has lost a lot of volume since last year. What do you suggest they do with less volume. Serious question. What are your ideas. Have you or your organizers tried to bring in any sales leads or try and get customers to ship more UPS?
