If OZ is successful in using dues money to hire union-busting law firms to prohibit TeamsterLink from using the word Teamster, then OZ can come after any and all of you. When is enough enough? Is the GEB going to be allowed to silence all of you who belong to or post on these groups until the only information you can get comes from the Communications Department, TDU and the PR firm Berlin Rosen? It's time to stand together like a union and tell the IBT to let Teamster members to express their views without fear. Contact members of the "reform" GEB and find out if they support this travesty.

Brother Smith is absolutely right on. These are the actions of scared little boys afraid of the truth so insecure they must control everything and all information. This is not what a union is about just the opposite. And how disgusting to hire Nixon Peabody to get the dirty work done. Yes, I am very pleased that while we witness a massive destruction of Teamster jobs at UPS, the single largest employer represented by the Teamsters and the cash cow for the IBT, the OZ administration is spending money on union busting attorneys to go after retirees for using two horse heads and the word Teamster. It makes me feel empowered and secure as a member.

This post is correct, if this undemocratic action goes unchallenged any group of teamsters with a different point of view from those in office will be suject to this legal harrassment. Its not a matter of having a winning case more like who's got the money to spend. Someone on here said this is worse than Hoffa. If he ever went after retirees like this I sure don't remember.

Clearly everyone here is failing to grasp the real problems facing the IBT today: several retired Teamsters start a website using two horse-heads and the word Teamster, this is obviously the most pressing matter and the full force of the IBT must be brought to bear.
