Hey hey, so I just woke up - hangover city - I am trying to educate myself on these topics because we are really feeling the squeeze as workers. Tony has been explaining some Marxism to me, and I am cool with people power. Most people my age don't have home ownership or any big investments unless they were born rich. 7 years at UPS and all I have a bad back. I am grateful for the healthcare and modest pension for part-timers but that 50 cents "extra" for my seniority made me sick. Let's talk tomorrow after the Teamsters Mobilizations meeting.

Hasn't it been proven time and time and time again that this theory of Marxism doesn't work? There has never been a true Communist country and those who claim to be, have failed. The only countries that come close in my opinion are Cuba and Vietnam. And, look at them. Crap! I get a kick out of this. Even "Conservatives" believe China is a Communist country when they have a private market that is HEAVILY regulated. Maybe a true history lesson on who Karl Marx and Friedrich Engles truly were and the circles they hung with is needed.

I think the difference is that we grew up in the cold world era. We came from a time where we were educated against the crap that is communism. Now these blue and green haired socialists want to replay bad history. And they wonder why trump is going to become president again.

I have a hard time being too critical of young people looking for fairness, even if it is misguided.

I'm not sure any of these systems work. The core of the problem regardless of the system is people,their lust for power and control, greed, and ruthlessness in achieving their ends at everyone elses cost.
