Trump and the Soul of the Labor Movement

Trump is trying to court union members by saying he's a "friend" to laborbut he's actually a billionaire scab out to strip workers of their rights.

Like we needed Schuhrke to tell us that Trump was no good. Schuhrke is not protecting "the soul" of the labor movement. He's busy maneuvering for his own external agenda. One week, he's criticizing the UAW for endorsing Biden. The next week, he's bloviating about how bad Trump is. Notice that Schuhrke doesn't even manage to hold O'Brien accountable for any of this - the Mar-a-Lago thumbs up, turning IBT foyer into a Trump backdrop, the RNC donation - poor Sean is merely the victim of Trump's savvy "courting."

Didn't you take a picture with Shawn Fain? The same sellout that kept 70% of UAW members working? The same sellout that agreed to not give pensions to those hired after 2007 or medical retiree benefits.

Yes! Thank you for noticing. Shawn Fain is the real deal. We Teamsters should be so lucky. The Stand Up Strike strategy was awesome - it allowed for gradual escalation and left the manufacturers guessing.

It was a joke. The Big Three kept making profits. If you were told you were losing a pension you'd be up in arms.

Same way I saw it, Schuhrke like so many in "progressive media" can't stand the idea that they were 100% wrong about O'Brien. Poor Sean just got drug down to Mar a Lago by that bad man Trump and was forced to have dinner and do the thumbs up pic. Oh, and then go back and have DRIVE contribute $45,000 that will probably be used to pay lawyers for defence in one of the many open cases. Yeah, O'Brien just an unsuspecting observer.
