The reductions in Connecticut, Maryland and Oregon come as UPS tries to match its network capacity with delivery demand.

To be fair they were going to do it regardless. The OZholes did nothing in the way of mitigation, training or thinking about organizing those that service the machinery once it's installed. You don'd need a GED to figure this out.

UPS is and has been the leading corporate sponsor of research and developement of autonomous vehicles, drone delivery and automated warehousing. Thats been true for years. No surprise that they intend to use as much of it as they can get away with in the next five years.

I think they are cutting too deep and it will begin to affect customers. We will see. Either way, not a word from the IBT!

One more thing, this means that more and more of the labor will be done by new part-timers who have NO MRA protections and limited raises over 5 years ($2)

We have a postal plane coming back to help with work but the night hub looks bleak. They just walked people out tonight.
