    Disappointing Leadership

Im very disappointed in the President of the Teamsters union inviting Donald Trump to Teamster HQ. It wasn't harmless. It was a huge gift to the leader of the American Fascist movement.

After the meeting, Trump was allowed to speak at a Teamsters podium w the POWERFUL image of Trump inside the Marble Palace alluding to some endorsement.

Yes it's natural and normal to invite presidential candidates before the GEB. I'm sure Biden, West, and Stein will also be invited but Trump is not normal. He's a mortal threat to our democracy.

Frankly, O'Brien should have known better than to invite this disgraced former president (this twice impeached, racist, rapist, homophobe, xenophobe, insurrectionist scab!)into our House.

One member of the GEB, John Palmer, bravely refused to attend the meeting. He metaphorically refused to shake Potter's hand.

I understand as a leader of a large diverse organization, sometimes you have to deal w the 40% of Teamsters that supported Trump 4 years ago. But instead of pandering to that faction, leaders need to lead and educate their members and make the case for "which candidates are on our side" and which are not.

Maybe this was just the beginning of his campaign for re-election in 2026? I don't know. If so, instead of putting his members first, it seems he's worrying about his own political career. Again. Im very disappointed.
