It is reassuring to know that our membership is not a group of "yes" men or women. Members who can and should think for themselves, members that are not compelled to co-sign or rubber stamp a directive that is not in the best interest of our membership, the labor movement in general, or our democracy at large. I would like to think that the days of the authoritative leadership that seeks reprisal for those that do not toe the line are behind us. Thanks to Palmer and Hooker I can rest better at night!
