Today, Amazon Teamsters at the $3 trillion corporation's DJT6 warehouse in Riverside, California, launched a one-day ULP strike to protest Amazon's illegal intimidation and retaliation against workers demanding safer working conditions.



Workers at DJT6 — Amazon's largest warehouse in the nation — organized with Teamsters Local 1932 last year. Since then, the company has refused to listen to worker concerns and even fired a rank-and-file union leader at the warehouse without cause. Now, Amazon Teamsters at DJT6 are on a 24-hour work stoppage to protest Amazon's illegal actions.



Today’s strike is the first time that Teamsters on both primary shifts at the DJT6 facility have engaged in a coordinated action, bringing one of Amazon’s key nationwide hubs to a 24-hour shutdown.

A group of 200 workers at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits across New York have ratified a strong new agreement after a 24-hour strike. The members of Teamsters Locals 118, 294, 317, 445, and 449 were forced to strike over the company’s failure to offer fair wages, increased pension contributions, and improved working conditions.



The five-year agreement includes 30 percent wage increases, a 20 percent increase in employer contributions to the Teamsters Pension Fund, and additional paid time off.

On September 1, 2025, nurses and case managers at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital, represented by Teamsters Local 332, were forced to the picket line on an unfair labor practice strike. These Teamsters have spent every season on the strike line demanding a fair contract, and while their strike signs may be weathered, their solidarity is not.



Teamsters' message to Henry Ford Health is clear: stop playing games with patient and community safety and offer these experienced workers the contract they deserve.

Attendees heard from Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and General Secretary-Treasurer Fred Zuckerman, as well as updates from departments within the International Union.



“In 2026, the state of the Teamsters is the strongest that it's been in decades. We are organizing and winning the best contracts of any union in North America," O'Brien said. "I ask you to pledge to make this union bigger, faster, and stronger for generations to come. Over the last five years, we’ve organized a record 100,000 workers, and we are committed to organizing 250,000 more workers over the next five years."



Attendees also heard from Josh Zivalich, President of Teamsters Joint Council 75; Sunshine McBride, Director of the Teamsters Political and Legislative Action Department; Will Petty, Director of the Teamsters Strategic Initiatives Department; Chris Rosell, Director of the Teamsters Organizing Department; and Tom Vitiello, Teamsters R.O.A.D.S. Coordinator; as well as other Teamsters leaders.



Following the regional meeting, the Teamsters Organizing Department held a daylong workshop with affiliates from across the South to plan and strategize for the union’s continued growth.



The Southern Region meeting follows the Eastern Region meeting held in New York City in August. The Western Region meeting will be held in Denver and the Central Region meeting in Chicago later this month.

Over 1,300 workers at Encore Boston Harbor, represented by Teamsters Local 25 and UNITE HERE Local 26, have voted overwhelmingly to authorize a strike.



Local 25 represents 211 workers in the warehouse, horticulture, and floral departments, as well as workers in the call center, cage cashiers, limo drivers and dispatchers, traffic attendants, valet and guest experience attendants at Encore.



“We’re proud of what we built at Encore, and we take pride in the work we do every day,” said Sem Avdic, a warehouse worker and member of Local 25. “We work hard to make this company successful, and we believe we deserve a fair contract that allows us to provide for our families. Nobody wants to strike. But nobody is going to keep making Wynn rich while our own families fall behind.”
